Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA):
Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is a way to report inappropriate sexual behavior by our staff toward you or another beneficiary. This may include touch, looks, or even words. If you have experienced something like this or know someone who has, you can contact the email segnalazioni@arcinazionale.it (ARCI), even anonymously.
ARCI supports the UN policy of zero tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse. The sexual exploitation and abuse of people receiving services is unacceptable, prohibited, and a very serious violation of trust. For this reason, all personnel working with ARCI have signed a Code of Conduct and a Policy that define how staff must behave and outline their responsibilities toward young people using the platform’s services.
When we talk about sexual exploitation and abuse, we mean:
“Sexual exploitation” refers to any actual or attempted abuse of a position of vulnerability, unequal power, or trust for sexual purposes, including but not limited to gaining financial, social, or political advantage from the sexual exploitation of another person.
Example: asking you to send nude photos or videos in order to receive more services or assistance.
“Sexual abuse” refers to actual or threatened physical intrusion of a sexual nature, whether by force or under unequal or coercive conditions. This includes non-contact sexual exploitation and abuse, as well as online exploitation and abuse.
Example: sending you or pressuring you to send sexual photos or videos; asking persistent sexual questions during a conversation that are unrelated to what you want to discuss.
